Huludao Lianhuashan Castings expands strategic partnership with Monitizer to drive digital transformation
To support its ambitious growth plans, HLC will extend the Monitizer Platform to build a complete digital foundry.
Based in Liaoning Province, China, the Huludao Lianhuashan Castings Ltd (HLC) first implemented the Monitizer | DISCOVER IIoT solution to tackle problems like capacity constraints, melting bottlenecks and variable sand quality. DISCOVER now brings HLC’s key production data together into one platform and presents it in clear, intuitive dashboards.
After the foundry’s management team saw how DISCOVER’s intelligence helps improve productivity, casting quality and cost control, it is putting the Monitizer Platform at the heart of its digitalization program that will turn HLC into a true smart foundry.
First to arrive will be mobile-specific dashboards to support remote decision-making. HLC will connect its furnaces, then use the data-driven insight to improve melting efficiency and vary the metal charge mix to maximize lining lifetime. It will also develop sand system data models to dynamically control the addition of new sand and water, and so stabilize sand quality across its complex process.
